The four autonomies
Most people only think about freedom in terms of money. Money matters, but it’s one of four places autonomy gets built. A big balance in the bank isn't freeing if your body, your mind, or your sense of meaning is dependent on something else.
Money
Financial autonomy
The means to do what you want without being tied to what you don’t want to do. Built with independent income and a business you actually own.
Mind
Intellectual autonomy
Thinking for yourself. Philosophy, a growth mindset, abundance over zero-sum, and choosing your inputs instead of consuming whatever you’re fed.
Body
Physical autonomy
A baseline of strength and health so your body never becomes the thing that decides for you. Mostly resistance training and heart health.
Spirit
Spiritual autonomy
A moral compass informed by wisdom of all religions and philosophies without being tied to the limitations of one.
The lens
Futurism
AI, technology, and space. Not a fifth domain, but the lens over all four: watching where the puck is going so the autonomy you build today survives tomorrow. AI especially. I use it daily, build with it, and write about it as a lever rather than a threat.
The short version
I swam competitively through college, studied math and business, then spent eight years in fraud and risk. I always knew I wanted to earn on my own terms. I just didn’t know how.
I tried a bunch of side-income tactics and failed at all of them. Then a comfortable remote job pulled me back into the loop, and I let ambition slide for the security of the paycheck. That security lasted until the company cut 66% of positions a few weeks before Christmas.
That’s when it clicked. The paycheck was never safety, it was dependence, and money was only the most obvious one. Now I’m building autonomy everywhere it counts, and documenting the climb in public.
The money side lives at Future of Freedom, where I build an owned, hub-centric business and teach the parts that work.
Where I go deepest
All four autonomies matter. Money is where I go deepest, because independent income buys back the time and attention the other three need.
Building financial autonomy
Having the means to do what you want without doing what you do not want to do. It comes down to earning more, spending less, and doing work you love (or avoiding work you hate). I write about doing work you love and earning more while doing it, because that is where the leverage is.
Turn an audience into a real business
An audience on social media is not a business. Your social followers are not your customers, they are the platform’s customers. Your audience becomes your business once you take ownership of it. You do this by building your own platform. I have built this for my business, and occasionally I build it for others.

- Intellectual autonomy is best cultivated by walking, writing, and thinking
- Physical autonomy requires a basic level of strength, mobility, and nutrition
- Spiritual autonomy allows you to glean the wisdom without the dogma
- Everyone should be able to do whatever they want as long as it doesn't get in the way of anyone else doing whatever they want.
The future
- AI is not replacing humans, it is changing the nature of our existence
- The future of human work belongs to those who take charge of their autonomy
- Exploration and colonization of space are necessary for the preservation and expansion of humanity
